FAQ & MOST COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS

If you don't find answers to your questions in the section below, please reach out to us at info@lockpickpros.com

Is lockpicking legal?

Yes, in most areas owning lockpicking tools is completely legal as long as you do not use them for illegal purposes. Always check your local laws before purchasing or carrying tools in public.

Can I learn to pick locks even if I'm a complete beginner?

Absolutely. Our kit is designed for both beginners and professionals. The included video bootcamp will teach you everything from handling the picks to opening real-world locks.

How long does it take to learn?

Most people can pick the practice lock within 3–5 minutes. With some repetition, you'll be able to move on to common padlocks and deadbolts.

Will this damage my locks?

No. If used properly, these tools will not damage your locks. We recommend starting with the practice lock or spare padlocks before trying them on anything important.

What’s in the kit and how do I use each tool?

Each set comes with 10 lockpick profiles and multiple tension wrenches. We provide clear instructions in the video series to show what each tool is used for and how to get started.

Do I need a practice lock?

We highly recommend starting with a clear or beginner-level practice lock. It helps build muscle memory and technique before moving on to real locks.

What makes this kit better than a cheap one online?

Cheaper kits often use soft metals that bend or snap easily. Our picks combine real carbon fiber handles with pro-grade stainless steel tips—designed to last through thousands of uses.

Are these picks made from real carbon fiber?

Yes. The case and handles are made from real carbon fiber, not plastic or printed textures. This provides lightweight control, durability, and a sleek look.

Will these work on real locks or just practice ones?

They work on both. These are real tools with professional profiles used by advanced pickers and hobbyists alike.

Are these picks beginner-friendly or made for pros?

They’re made for both. Beginners will appreciate the comfortable control, while experienced pickers won’t outgrow the quality or performance.

Do you include instructions or tutorials?

Yes. Every customer gets access to our Lockpicking Bootcamp video series. It covers the basics, common mistakes, and tips for success.

What if I break a pick?

Our picks are designed to be durable, but if something goes wrong, contact us for a replacement. We stand by the quality of our tools.

How long does shipping take?

We typically ship orders within 24 hours. Shipping times vary by location, but you’ll receive tracking info as soon as your order leaves our facility.

Is your packaging discreet?

Yes. All orders ship in plain packaging with no indication of what’s inside.

What’s your return or refund policy?

We offer a hassle-free return policy. If you’re not satisfied with your purchase, contact us and we’ll make it right.
